The precious blood of Jesus

Quite often we sing about the precious blood of Jesus; there is power in the blood or the blood that Jesus shed for me, and, these songs do move, deliver and bless us. But, we need to let the Holy Spirit give us a deeper and sustained revelation of what the blood of Jesus has done for us. This revelation will transform our lives. Yes, the change that comes with the true revelation of the precious blood of our Savior will bring great enlightenment and set us at a higher level of spiritual living. Every Christian is not at the same depth or level of spiritual experience and the revelation of the blood of Jesus will take one higher.
This revelation comes through prayer; listen to good teaching and studying the word of God on this topic. When you receive this revelation of the precious blood of Jesus, your Christian life will be positively affected. You will have greater confidence to face problems, devils, sicknesses and other; just name it. Praying will be done with greater authority and see greater results.
I can recall something Apostle Irma said many years ago when our Church Bribi (Faith) Ministries was under the tent at Indira Ghandiweg, she said “when I lay my hands on a demon possessed person my hands are like the hands of Jesus where the nails were made.” And that is so important because it was through those nail-made holes on Jesus’ hands that the precious blood of Jesus flowed. When the devil sees the blood of Jesus or in other words when we plead or declare the blood of Jesus, the glory of God is manifested and the devil flee in terror.
Please let us pray before we go further in this topic: “Father I pray in Jesus’ name that you will touch our hearts and open our understand so that we can see how important the precious blood of Jesus is, both to you our heaven Father and to us His redeemed children. We yield ourselves to the Holy Spirit so that He can minister to us light and revelation about this Precious substance, in Jesus’ name amen.”

A/ Know your scriptures about the blood of Jesus
Many times when I heard messages on the blood of Jesus preached I did not realize that God was trying to get something that is deeper than the service level. It took prayer and a sincere study together with a spiritual revelation for me to see what the Spirit of God was saying to me. And as you yield to the Holy Spirit He can show you so much more. Here are some scriptures that I suggest you read and study; Ephesians 1:7, 1 Peter 1:18-19, St John 20: 11-18, Hebrews 10: 19 – 22, Hebrews 9: 1-28, Leviticus 16, Exodus 12,
B/ The Scriptural Principle –The blood Represents us at the Throne of Grace
Let us explore this topic by starting at Hebrews 10: 19-21
19 Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,
20 By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;
21 And having an high priest over the house of God;
22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.
This scripture shows us that we have boldness to go to the Holy place of God, that is, before His throne in prayer. This privilege has been made possible because of the shed blood of Jesus. Hallelujah! Praise the Lord! Yes I repeat that we have the right to go before the throne of God’s Grace, the highest place there is in heaven and earth, because we are washed in the blood of Jesus. And if we have the right to go before the throne of God, then we are qualified whenever we stand in any other place. It means that we can live our life with confidence every day. This fact greatly transformed my confidence. I am not afraid of failure. I am not ashamed of my past; I am not afraid or ashamed to face anyone or anything.
Paul was not ashamed of his past life, even though, he did many wrong things before he met Jesus. In 1 Corinthians 7:2 he said “…we have wronged no man.” The precious blood of Jesus delivers from shame and guarantees our protection in every situation. There may be something that you did, in the past, which the enemy wants to use to make you ashamed, but refuse to be ashamed. The precious blood of Jesus has wiped you record clean. When the devil tells you about your past, tell him that it has been cleansed by the blood of Jesus and remind him that he has a horrible future in the lake of fire.
It is our responsibility to believe and confess our deliverance through the blood of Jesus continually. When God the Father looks at us, His Church, He sees us through the Precious Blood of His Son. Our confession must uphold that.
The Blood of Jesus is representing us at the throne of God, because our Lord Jesus took it there after He arose from the dead. This was the first mission of our Lord after He arose from the grave. Let us look at this operation in the bible before I explain further to you.
St John 20:11-18
11 But Mary stood outside by the tomb weeping, and as she wept she stooped down and looked into the tomb. 12 And she saw two angels in white sitting, one at the head and the other at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain. 13 Then they said to her, “Woman, why are you weeping?”
She said to them, “Because they have taken away my Lord, and I do not know where they have laid Him.”
14 Now when she had said this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, and did not know that it was Jesus. 15 Jesus said to her, “Woman, why are you weeping? Whom are you seeking?”
She, supposing Him to be the gardener, said to Him, “Sir, if you have carried Him away, tell me where you have laid Him, and I will take Him away.”
16 Jesus said to her, “Mary!”
She turned and said to Him,[a] “Rabboni!” (which is to say, Teacher).
17 Jesus said to her, “Do not cling (touch) to Me,for I have not yet ascended to My Father; but go to My brethren and say to them, ‘I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.’”
We see in this story that Jesus could not allow Mary to touch Him.
The question is why?
The Answer: He was taking His precious blood to the throne of His father.
Later in the day when Jesus returned from His Father’s throne Mary and the others could have touch Him. We see this in St John 20:19- 22, and Luke 24; 13-33
John 20:19-22
19 Then, the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled,[c] for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in the midst, and said to them, “Peace be with you.”20 When He had said this, He showed them His hands and His side. Then the disciples were glad when they saw the Lord.
21 So Jesus said to them again, “Peace to you! As the Father has sent Me, I also send you.” 22 And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit. 23 If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained.

The point that I am making is that Jesus took his blood to the mercy seat of God the Father in Heaven for us. He did this once and for all. The High Priest, of the Children of Israel, had to repeat the atoning sacrifices (in which blood was shed for the sins of the people) once a year on the Day of Atonement but Jesus did it once for all.
In performing this ceremony in the Old Testament, we see where the High priest had to take blood to the mercy seat (represents the Throne of Grace) in the most holy place of the tabernacle. No man was allowed in the tabernacle when the High Priest made atonement -Leviticus 16: 17. (If Mary had touched Jesus His precious blood would have been contaminated). Yes, the High Priest did this once a year. Read Leviticus chapter 16 and Hebrews 9:1-14, and 24-28.

C/ The Power of the Precious Blood of Jesus is Activated by Faith Words and Faith Actions in His Blood.
You can activate it by speaking
On the night when Jesus was betrayed He spoke of the blood of the covenant as He sat for the Passover Meal with his Disciples. We must continue speaking of the deliverance given us by His blood. We must not forget our Communion Sundays. God told the children of Israel to keep the Passover forever (Exodus 12:14). I believe that one of the reasons why the Catholic Church has survived throughout the years is because of the value it places on the Holy Communion.
In 1 Corinthians 11: 25 it says
25 After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, this cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.
You can activate it by pleaing
When we have missed our purpose by any sin, wrong doing or even lack of faith, pleaing the precious blood of Jesus on ourselves and situations gives us redemption rights and bargaining powers. This is so because as we plea our leverage and position is changed, yes, we are lifted up when we plea the blood of Jesus. Jesus becomes our Advocate as He stands in God’s court to plea for us. You can plea the precious blood of Jesus in your office, home or wherever you choose. Always use wisdom when you have to do so audibly.
You can activate the power in the precious blood of Jesus by singing about it
The bible says we must sing spiritual songs (see Ephesians 5:19 and Colossians 3:16). What better spiritual song can there be than one about the blood of Jesus? As we sing about the blood we prepare the room, atmosphere and our surroundings to be cleansed so that the Glory of God can manifest.
Revelation 5: 9 and 10 says,
9 And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;
10 And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.
You can activate it by sprinkling and/or by actions of faith
–Moses applied- sprinkled the blood.
Exodus 24:8
8 And Moses took the blood, and sprinkled it on the people, and said, Behold the blood of the covenant, which the LORD hath made with you concerning all these words.
By sprinkling the people with the blood Moses declared them clean. In our intercession for others we are helping them to be accepted for God’s blessings. This is an act of sprinkling. We can only do so because His blood has made us Priests unto God.
Revelation 1: 5 and 6
5 And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,
6 And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.
Always be aware that by activating the power in the blood of Jesus you are opening the door for God’s glory, putting your angels to work and defeating the power of satan.

D/ 7 Benefits of the shed blood of Jesus.
So many people feel inadequate to do the work God has called them to do forgetting He has provided a platform for our success. Because of the blood of Jesus we are redeemed. We are not sinners anymore but rather saints of God. We have been redeemed, not with corruptible things. Read Heb 9:12, 1Peter 1: 18 and 19, Ephesians 1:7
WE HAVE BOLDNESS BECAUSE OF THE BLOOD. Boldness to approach God and face every situation. Read Heb 10:19-22
WE HAVE ACCESS BECAUSE OF THE BLOOD. This access is ours because His blood has perfected us. Access to God’s favor, spiritual gifts, the riches of His word and material things. This means that we do not have to go to God crying and begging in prayer. None of God’s children are beggars. There are times when we may need to intercede and supplicate in prayer on the behalf of others but that is not begging. We ask in faith on the basis of His word. Read Hebrews 10:14
WE HAVE PEACE BECAUSE OF THE BLOOD. Yes peace with God. We and God are not enemies anymore. We have peace with ourselves and God’s children. This peace has been made by Christ. Read Colossians 1:20
WE HAVE BEEN RECONCILED TO GOD. We are friends of God not enemies. The gap that came between God and man which appeared when Adam fell has been removes; Praise God! Read Colossians 1:20 and St John 6:53
THE BLOOD OF JESUS DESTROYS EVERY STRONG-HOLD. Every evil thing that comes down from generation to generation stops at the blood of Jesus. When the Children of Israel were held in Egyptian captivity, they applied the blood of the lamb (a symbol of Jesus our sacrificial Lamb) on their door posts on one night. That was the last night of their captivity. The next day Pharaoh was willing to let them go. There is no hold of sin or circumstance so strong in your life that the blood of Jesus cannot destroy. Read Exodus 12:21-23 and 29-34.
WE HAVE HEALING AND SALVATION BECAUSE OF THE BLOOD. Our Lord suffered so we can enjoy healing and salvation. These are free to us but Jesus paid the price. Jesus is our perfect sacrifice. He shed His blood in a perfect number of ways. That number is 7
a/ The stripes on His back, 1way; Matthew 27:26, Mark 15:15, John 19:1
b/ The thorns on His head, + 1 way; Matthew 27:29, Mark 15; 17
c/ The nails in His two hands and two feet, + 4 ways; Matthew 27:35 Mark 15:24, Luke 23:33, John 19:18
d/ The spare in His side, +1 way John 19: 34
E/ Conclusion Live free of condemnation.
In exodus 12:13 we read “…and when I see the Blood, I will pass over you,..”
There is therefore now no condemnation to us because we are in Christ Jesus. Romans 8; 1
His blood has made us over-comers so let us express faith in the precious blood of Jesus.
Revelation 12: 11 says 11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
The word of their testimony is testifying about what the blood of Jesus has delivered to you. For example:
1/ I testify that by the blood of Jesus I have the right to go before the throne of almighty God in prayer and He will answer
2/ I testify that by the blood of Jesus I have the right to cast out demons and they must Go.
3/ I testify that by the blood of Jesus I have the right lay hands on the sick and see them recover.
4/ I testify ……. And such like according to the word. .
KEY: The blood of Jesus is the underlying resource from which all the promises of God are fulfilled. It is the resource on which we draw our checks in Jesus Name. Amen and Amen.
Thank You for Receiving.
